As per the notification, the expected selection process of candidates for the post of UPPSC GIC Lecturer consists of the following stages:

UPPSC GIC Lecturer Prelims Exam Pattern
Understanding the type of questions, marking scheme, and sectional weightage for the exam requires knowledge of the exam pattern. The expected UPPSC GIC Lecturer prelims exam will be of objective type. The total marks for the exam are 300. The expected exam pattern for the same will be as follows.
- In the preliminary examination, there will be questions from General Studies / Optional Subjects, which will be objective and multiple-choice.
- The total number of questions will be 120 (80 questions for optional subjects and 40 for General Studies).
- The time duration of the exam will be 2 hours.
- A negative marking of 1/3rd of the assigned mark will be applicable for the wrong answer.
